When you ask yourself the question, how many people “like” your posts on social media, you run into problems because your follow-up question might be, how “much” do they like it, and if not, why?

And then it’s hours or days later, and you’re still torturing yourself with thoughts like, maybe you post too much or too little. Or maybe people are too busy watching videos of dogs playing pianos or drummers bashing on their instruments like wind-up amphetamine troll dolls.

Troubled is the heart whose job is determining one’s social media relevance score.

Is one’s content organic enough, unfinanced and unfettered? Does it provide meaningful interactions? Or is it nothing more than clickbait in a sea of ravenous viewers?

You’re on your computer or phone day and night, wondering who else is out there.

Wondering if one of your posts falls or fails in the social media forest, will anybody hear it?

And what about that noise?

Is that a burglar sneaking through your home, or just a million different algorithms crunching data?
